‘Choose obedience like Joseph and Mary’: Pastor’s Christmas message

Holy Hand Church Pastor Jai Prakash has urged families to choose obedience like Joseph and Mary and allow the peace of Jesus Christ into their lives this Christmas.

Speaking during the church’s Christmas get-together at Korovatu Beach in Labasa, Pastor Prakash emphasised the importance of strong family bonds built on faith.

“When the foundation of a family is built in Christ Jesus, no matter what may come, natural disasters or financial problems, you will overcome without fear,” Pastor Prakash said.

“As families gather this Christmas, let us not focus on what we will eat or wear, but on how we can strengthen our relationships as fathers, mothers and children.”

He also encouraged parents to set aside time for reflection with their children, urging them to stay away from criminal activities and focus on building a bright future through education and career development.

“Let us not allow busyness or the darkness of this world to be an excuse to stay away from our loved ones, as Christmas comes only once a year,” he said.

“Christmas is the most joyous occasion to spend time with family and share the blessing of peace.”
