The success of Radisson Blu Resort Fiji is closely linked to the strength, culture and values of the vanua, says general manager Charles Homsy.

As part of its ongoing commitment to community engagement and in the spirit of the festive season, the resort carried out its annual Christmas visits to local traditional chiefs, conveying appreciation and extending festive greetings and best wishes for Christmas and the New Year.

The Radisson Blu delegation was led by Mr Homsy and included members of the resort’s executive team.

During the visits, the delegation presented traditional gifts of food as a gesture of gratitude and respect, acknowledging the support of the Vanua and surrounding communities, many of whose members are employed at the resort.

Mr Homsy expressed the resort’s sincere appreciation to the chiefs and their people for their continued support and partnership.

“The success of Radisson Blu Resort Fiji is closely connected to the strength, culture and values of the Vanua,” he said.

The chiefs visited as part of the annual tradition were Na Momo na Tui Nadi Ratu Vuniani Dawai; Na Momo na Tui Nawaka Ratu Joeli Bulu Derenalagi; Na Momo Levu na Tui Sabeto Ratu Viliame Mataitoga; and Na Momo na Tui Vuda Ratu Eparama Kitione Tavaiqia.

Through its Responsible Business Division, the resort remains actively engaged with local communities through initiatives focused on education, health, sports and social development.

The programmes aim to promote healthy, resilient and prosperous communities, reinforcing the resort’s long-term commitment to sustainable and inclusive growth.

Radisson Blu Resort Fiji said it valued the opportunity to honour tradition, strengthen relationships and celebrate the festive season alongside its community partners, reaffirming its respect for the Vanua and its people.
