Alleged Knife-Wielding Man Remanded
It is alleged that on August 21, 2019, at Bureta Village in Levuka, Boletawa, with intent to cause grievous harm to the complainant, unlawfully wounded the 35-year-old complainant with a cane knife.

A 33-year-old Levuka man charged with wounding a complainant with a cane knife has been remanded in custody by the High Court in Suva.
Waisale Boletawa appeared before Judge Justice Thushara Rajasinghe.
He is charged with one count of act with the intent to cause grievous harm.

The complainant is not related to Boletawa.
State prosecutor from the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, Sheenal Swastika, told the court that they were seeking seven days to file a reply to the bail application.
She also sought time to go through the proposed sureties provided in the bail application affidavit and file a response.
The matter has been adjourned for bail ruling on November 22.
