The bail of Ana Masere has been extended by the High Court in Lautoka.

Masere, 40, appeared before Justice Sunil Sharma today. She is charged with allegedly posting a video on TikTok containing derogatory comments about another woman.

She faces two counts of causing harm by posting electronic communications under the Online Safety Act, and two counts of insulting or annoying a person under the Crimes Act.

She is represented by Viraat Anand, while the State is represented by Praneeta Prakash.

The defence applied for the release of an item held as evidence and sought permission for the accused to comply with court orders relating to social media access.

At the previous hearing, the State said the Cybercrime Scene Investigation unit would finalise documentation reports before any evidence could be released.

Justice Sharma said the matter relating to the item would be heard on April 16, while Masere is expected to take her plea on April 19.
