Bail Ruling For Nadi Businessman On Drug Charges Today
The court heard that the accused was found with 0.126 grams of methamphetamine and 3.9grams of marijuana in Nadi on March 5.

Bail for a Nadi businessman who is charged with possession of illicit drugs will be decided today by the Nadi Magistrates Court.
The accused, Rahul Singh, 27, of Sonaisali, outside Nadi appeared before Magistrate Nilmini Ferdinandez charged with one count of possession of illicit drugs.
The court heard that the accused was found with 0.126 grams of methamphetamine and 3.9grams of marijuana in Nadi on March 5.

His lawyer, Roopesh Singh of Patel and Sharma Lawyers Nadi, made a formal application for bail. However, Magistrate Ferdinandez remanded Singh and told the prosecution to file their reply the following day.
The prosecution was represented by Police Inspector Parmesh Chand.
Mr Singh also told the court that his client was assaulted by some men when Police found him at Sonaisali. Singh was severely injured with swelling to his face and around his eyes. From March 6 to March 9, Singh was admitted at the Nadi Hospital after he made a report on March 6 for the alleged assault.
Singh has been remanded and the matter adjourned today for a bail ruling.
