Chinese National Jailed For Life For Murdering Sex Worker

43-year-old Chinese National, Wang Qi Yong, who murdered a 33-year-old Chinese woman at her rented home in Namadi Heights, Suva last year has been jailed to life imprisonment by the High Court in Suva today.
On May 13, 2019, Yong strangled a sex worker from mainland China to death.
Judge Justice Daniel Goundar decided not to impose a minimum term.

He said it was a matter for the State to decide whether the offender was to serve his sentence in Fiji or to be deported to China.
