Drugged, Abducted, Sold For Sex: Plea For Nabou, 19, On March 27

The 19-year-old, alleged to have lied to Police that she was drugged, abducted, kept captive for 10 days and sold for sex, is expected to take her plea on March 27.
Mereseini Nabou was remanded further by the Magistrates Court in Nausori.
She appeared before Magistrate Lasitha Chaminda for the second consecutive day.

She was remanded on Monday to appear yesterday for a bail matter.
However, no bail matter was presented to court.
When her name was called out the first time, the Police prosecution informed the court that Nabou was yet to be brought to the court.
She informed the court that she was opting for a private lawyer to represent her.
The court informed her to make proper bail applications and adjourned the case to March 27 for a plea to be entered.
Nabou is charged with two counts of giving false information to a public servant. She allegedly told police that she was given something to drink at a Vatuwaqa Bus Stop which made her pass out. She allegedly said when she woke up, she found herself locked in a tin shack in Tailevu with three other girls.
She allegedly made claims of torture and sexual servitude as well.
