Father charged with murder of his 3-year-old child in Lautoka
Investigations by the Criminal Investigations Department revealed the child’s injuries were allegedly inflicted by the father.

A 25-year-old man has been charged with the alleged murder of his three-year-old child at their home in Lomolomo, Lautoka, last week.
Police initially received a report at the Lautoka Police Station that the child had sustained serious injuries after a fall at the residence.
However, investigations by the Criminal Investigations Department revealed the child’s injuries were allegedly inflicted by the father.

The accused has been charged with one count of murder and one count of assault causing actual bodily harm. He appeared before the Lautoka Magistrates Court on Monday, September 29, where he was remanded in custody.
The case has been transferred to the Lautoka High Court and will be called again on October 13, 2025.
