Five men each charged with one count of disobedience of lawful order appeared at the Lautoka Magistrates Court yesterday.

Atish Ratnesh Dip, Lepani Bose and Semi Naulumatua appeared before Magistrate Bandula Gunaratne while Alusio Vakacakaudrove and Viliame Martin appeared before Magistrate Nayani Kasturirathne.

On March 21, Dip was charged with allegedly ferrying Bose and Naulumatua into the Lautoka confined area.

In a separate case of alleged disobedience, Vakacakaudrove and Martin were also produced in court for allegedly entering the restricted zones and have been bailed with the sum of $500 bond and told not to re-offend.

Dip, Bose and Naulumatua were denied bail while the remaining are to appear in court again on April 7 while Vakacakaudrove and Martin’s next court appearance will be on April 1.
