Former Fiji 7s Star Nasilasila Jailed For 8 Years

The former sevens player, Amenoni Nasilsila, was sentenced to eight years imprisonment for rape by Justice Daniel Goundar at the Lautoka High Court this morning (23.10.19).

Amenoni Nasilasila was charged for raping a 24-year-old woman at Olosara, Sigatoka, on 22 December 2018.

Last month, Justice Goundar overturned the assessors unanimous opinion of not guilty and convicted the former sevens player of rape.

Justice Goundar sentenced Amenoni Nasilasila to eight years imprisonment with a non-parole period of six years.
