Former Suva Lawyer, Hibiscus Contestant Plead Not Guilty To Drug-Related Charges

Lateef and Maharaj-Moore are jointly charged with two counts found in possession of illicit drugs.

Former Suva lawyer, Shazran Abdul Lateef, and former Miss Hibiscus contestant, Zoe Maharaj-Moore, have pleaded not guilty to two charges of drug-related offences.

Both appeared before Chief Magistrate Usaia Ratuvili this morning.

Lateef and Maharaj-Moore are jointly charged with two counts found in possession of illicit drugs.

For the first count, it is alleged that Lateef and Maharaj-Moore  on August 14, 2019, at Raiwai, without lawful authority, were found in possession of an illicit drugs namely methamphetamine weighing 0.0063 grams and cannabis sativa weighing 07.5 grams.
