Hairdresser Fined $200 After Breaching Curfew Order

The 45-year-old accused of Lami Village was arrested around 4:30am along Sukanaivalu Road when Police saw him ran and hid in the bushes.

Prominent Suva hairdresser Maraiwai Vakaloloma was fined $200 at the Suva Magistrates Court yesterday after pleading guilty to breaching the curfew order.

The 45-year-old accused of Lami Village was arrested around 4:30am along Sukanaivalu Road when Police saw him ran and hid in the bushes.

When questioned by Magistrate Ropate Green, Vakaloloma said he slept at his friend’s place after doing her hair.

He said he left the house to look for transport thinking it was 5am.

Magistrate Green imposed a fine of $200.

The case was adjourned to May 13.
