Head Teacher Who Allegedly Assaulted A Year 8 Student Over Misuse Of Sanitizer Bailed
It is alleged that the teacher had assaulted the Year Eight student over the misuse of the hand sanitizer last month.

The head teacher of Lagalaga Sanatan Primary School was granted bail by the Labasa Magistrates Court yesterday.
It is alleged that the teacher had assaulted the Year Eight student over the misuse of the hand sanitizer last month.
Rajen Prasad, charged with one count of assault causing actual bodily harm, appeared before Magistrate Bimsara Jagodage.

Details of the charge were not read in court because he opted for private counsel.
Police Prosecutor, Constable Vishal Verma, told Magistrate Jagodage that there was no domestic relationship between the teacher and the student.
Hence, Constable Verma said, he had no objection to the bail application.
The case has been adjourned to September 28.
