High Court defers ruling in Mara siblings case
Plaintiff’s lawyer Ulamila Fa sought time to rectify the issue and told the court a complete set of submissions would be filed by next week.

The High Court in Suva has deferred its ruling on four interlocutory applications in the Nahina Trust case involving the Mara siblings and the directors of Nahina Company.
Acting Puisne Judge Justice Penijamini Lomaloma deferred the ruling after finding that pages were missing from the plaintiff’s written submissions.
Plaintiff’s lawyer Ulamila Fa sought time to rectify the issue and told the court a complete set of submissions would be filed by next week.

Justice Lomaloma adjourned the ruling to March 27, noting he also had judgments to write in other matters, including murder cases.
The pending applications include a recusal application seeking the removal of Parshotam & Co as lead defence counsel, an injunction application, and two joinder applications seeking to include Rewan Chiefess Ro Teimumu Kepa and her son Sailosi Kepa as parties to the proceedings.
The court said a trial date can only be fixed after the interlocutory ruling is delivered.
