The High Court in Suva will deliver its ruling on former Deputy Prime Minister Manoa Kamikamica’s stay application on April 24.

Justice Siainiu Fa’alogo Bull confirmed the date yesterday following arguments between King’s Counsel Martin Daubney, representing Kamikamica, and Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption Commissioner Lavinia Rokoika.

The court allowed an amendment to the applicant’s Notice of Motion, which now includes a ground alleging conflict of interest by Ms Rokoika.

Mr Daubney argued that Ms Rokoika, who sanctioned the perjury charge against Kamikamica, had previously acted as counsel for the complainant in the 2024 Commission of Inquiry — former Minister for Fisheries and Forestry Kalaveti Ravu.

The court then proceeded to hear former Deputy Prime Minister Biman Prasad’s stay application.
