Judgment in the murder trial of Anare Vuli Cilicewa has been deferred after the High Court in Suva was told the decision was not yet ready.

Cilicewa appeared before Justice Pita Bulamainaivalu yesterday, where the court was informed that more time was needed before judgment could be delivered.

Cilicewa is accused of murdering 25-year-old Shabreen Shain Ali in Raiwaqa, Suva, in September 2024.

The State alleges he stabbed Ali during an argument before forcing a condom stuffed with cloth into her mouth and strangling her.
