Kalabu Wife Killer Guilty, Convicted

The High Court in Suva has found Kalabu man guilty and convicted him as charged for the offence of murder.

Jekope Naimawi appeared before Judge Justice Salesi Temo today.

Naimawi murdered his wife, Maraia Talei, on January 10, 2019, at Kalabu, Nasinu by assaulting his wife with a white biscuit tin which contained home brew and poured benzene over her and allegedly set her on fire while she was unconscious.

He will be sentenced tomorrow.
