A known person of interest will be produced in the Nadi Magistrate Court charged with one count of contravention of a restraining order under the Proceeds of Crime Act 1997.

Police allege the accused breached a High Court order by disposing of a vehicle that was subject to the restraining order. The order also covered a $400,000 property, cash held at a local bank, and four vehicles.

A raid was carried out at four properties in Makoi, Valelevu and Davuilevu in search of one of the vehicles that remained unaccounted for.

Police clarified that the other vehicles listed under the High Court order had already been seized and remained in Police custody, and were not removed prior to the raid as claimed in social media posts.

The Fiji Police Force has urged members of the public to verify information before sharing it online.
