Magistrates Reshuffle In August

The Judicial Department will have a Magistrates reshuffle on August 10. Chief Registrar and Secretary Judicial Services Commission Fiji, Justice Yohan Liyanage, said the judicial officers got transferred from time to time based on the department’s requirement.
Resident Magistrate Cama Tuberi will take over from Resident Magistrate Jeremiah Savou after serving in Labasa for six years. Resident Magistrate Jioji Boseiwaqa, who has served in Suva since 2015, will take over Magistrate Siromi Turaga’s matters at the Magistrates Court in Ba.
Magistrate Savou of Sigatoka Court will take over Magistrate Boseiwaqa’s files in Suva Court.

Justice Liyanage said Magistrate Turaga has completed his term with the judiciary, and there would be a vacancy advertised.
“The other two Resident Magistrates Senileba Levaci and Resident Magistrate Bimsara Jagodage will handle those matters until the vacancy is filled,” Justice Liyanage said.
