Man Charged With Attempt To Kill His Mother Granted Bail

A 26-year-old man accused of attempting to kill his mother has been granted bail by the Magistrates Court in Nasinu yesterday.
It is alleged that on December 10, 2020, at Nasinu, Anit Kishore attempted to murder his 51-year-old mother by pressing and twisting her neck.
He allegedly committed the offence after a heated argument with his mother.

Kishore’s lawyer, Jitend Reddy, had made a bail application for the accused which was granted by the Court.
Kishore’s two sureties were ordered to sign a bail bond of $500 each.
Kishore was ordered to reside in Caubati with one of his sureties and not to change address without leave of court.
He was also ordered not to interfere with the prosecution witnesses.
The matter has been transferred to the High Court in Suva and will be called on January 22, 2021.
