Man in custody after alleged stabbing incident

A 29-year-old man of Cakaudrove Province is in Police custody for an alleged act with intent to cause harm.

Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro confirmed that the accused allegedly stabbed a 30-year-old of Dabileka Settlement in Cakaudrove with a pen knife.

“The incident happened on last Saturday night (May 18). The alleged incident took place after a drinking party.”

She said the victim was currently admitted in stable condition at the men’s surgical ward in Labasa as investigations continue.
