Men Found Drinking Yaqona Placed On Court Curfew

Two men, alleged to have been drinking kava at Komave Settlement in Raiwaqa, have been placed on a Court curfew from 7pm to 6am daily.

Nelson Chand and Faiyaz Khan appeared before Magistrate Joseph Daurewa on Thursday charged with one count of failure to comply with order.

Magistrate Daurewa released them on $500 bail bond, with $500 surety each.

The case has been adjourned to May 26 for plea.
