A 35-year-old woman was found guilty by the High Court in Suva yesterday for the murder of her four-year-old daughter.
Rozleen Razia Khan was found guilty by Judge Justice Vinsent Perera after a four-day trial last week.
While delivering the judgment, Justice Perera said the accused (Khan) did not dispute the fact that she had killed her child; however, the defence argued that Khan was not mentally stable.

He said the court was not convinced that the accused (Khan) suffered abnormality of mind and knew what she was doing.
Justice Perera agreed with the three assessors, who also returned a guilty opinion for the accused last Friday, and convicted Khan as charged.
The matter was adjourned for sentencing hearing to July 18. Khan was remanded in custody pending sentencing.
