Mudaliar Charged For Allegedly Operating Unregistered University

It is alleged that Mudaliar did not provide the certificates to some students upon completion of their programmes and their fees were paid in full to the Integrated Information Services Limited.

The Director of Integrated Information Services Limited has been charged for allegedly operating a university without registration.

Draveen Nanadani Mudaliar, 42, appeared before Magistrate Waleen George at the Magistrates Court in Suva yesterday, represented by lawyer, Filimoni Vosarogo.

It is alleged that between December 14, 2017 and September 19, 2019 at Suva, Mudaliar is alleged to have operated a degree awarding institute of technology, without being duly registered under the Higher Education Act 2008.

It is alleged that Mudaliar did not provide the certificates to some students upon completion of their programmes and their fees were paid in full to the Integrated Information Services Limited.

State prosecutor from the Office of the DPP, Saif Shah told the court that the accused was served with the full phase of disclosures.

Mudaliar was granted bail and was ordered not to interfere with the prosecution’s witnesses and not to reoffend while on bail.

The matter has been adjourned for plea on March 31.
