Police Sergeant Charged With Theft
The accused, Sunita Devi, allegedly stole $30-worth of groceries from a supermarket in Nausori on August 1.

A 48-year-old female Police Sergeant based at the Nabua Police Station was produced in the Magistrates Court in Nausori on Wednesday.
She is charged with one count of theft.
The accused, Sunita Devi, allegedly stole $30-worth of groceries from a supermarket in Nausori on August 1.
Related stories
Amongst the items, she allegedly stole was a frozen chicken, a packet of mixed vegetables and snacks.
She was refused bail by the Magistrate and has been remanded until August 19.
