Acting Assistant Director of Public Prosecutions Luisa Latu has sought more time to file and serve full phase disclosures in the alleged mutiny case against former Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama and former Police Commissioner Sitiveni Qiliho.

Bainimarama and Qiliho appeared before Resident Magistrate Yogesh Prasad this morning.

They are charged with inciting to mutiny, allegedly attempting to incite senior officers of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) to arrest and overthrow the RFMF Commander, Ro Jone Kalouniwai.

Ms Latu told the court the prosecution received some documents late because of the recent adverse weather conditions.

She assured the court that the disclosures would be filed and served by next Wednesday.

Both accused remain on bail.
