Rohit Latchan Fined $500 After Found Guilty
Latchan was charged for three counts of undischarged bankrupt acting as a director contrary to Section 189 (1) of the Companies Act. However, after the hearing, he was found guilty and convicted for two counts and acquitted on the third count.

Rohit Ram Latchan has been fined $500 after being found guilty of two counts of undischarged bankrupt acts as a director.
Latchan appeared before Magistrate Asanga Bodaragama yesterday for his sentencing.
Latchan was charged for three counts of undischarged bankrupt acting as a director contrary to Section 189 (1) of the Companies Act. However, after the hearing, he was found guilty and convicted for two counts and acquitted on the third count.

He was ordered to pay the fine of $500 as an aggregated fine in respect of both counts, with a default term of imprisonment of 50 days.
Latchan was given 28 days to appeal.
