A man charged with making derogatory comments against Minister for Information Lynda Tabuya appeared again in the Suva Magistrate Court yesterday for allegedly breaching his bail conditions.
Lui Vuiberata, 31, a TikTok user also known as “X-con”, appeared before Resident Magistrate Lisiate Fotofili facing three counts of breaching bail conditions.
It is alleged that Vuiberata failed to comply with bail conditions imposed in his substantive matter. The alleged breaches include failing to surrender his passport, failing to remove his TikTok and other social media accounts, and continuing to post on social media after being warned not to.

State prosecutor Triveshni Sharma told the court that the substantive matter is before the High Court, where the election of court is yet to be determined.
The court advised the State to hold the bail breach matter in abeyance while the substantive case proceeds, to allow for a possible amendment of charges so the matters can be heard together in one file.
Defence lawyer Eroni Navuda had no objection, saying the defence also needed time to peruse disclosures served by the prosecution.
The matter was adjourned to March 17 for a possible plea.
Vuiberata remains in remand.
