Top Shop robbery accused get bail

Two men charged over the assault and robbery of an elderly man at the Rawaqa Top Shop last year have been granted bail.
Lagani Rabukawaqa and Saimoni Macedru appeared before Resident Magistrate Shageeth Somaratne this morning, each facing a count of aggravated robbery.
Police allege that on December 13, 2025, the two accused, together with another man, assaulted a 60-year-old man who was waiting for a bus and stole $9 and a watch.
