Two Men Who Broke Into DHL Office During Curfew Hours Denied Bail

Two men, who allegedly broke into the DHL office in Raiwaqa last Wednesday during curfew hours, have been denied bail.

Two men, who allegedly broke into the DHL office in Raiwaqa last Wednesday during curfew hours, have been denied bail.

Emosi Tabuasei, 20, and Alivio Kalokalodromu, 19, appeared before Magistrate Liyanage Wickramasekara at the Suva Magistrates Court yesterday.

Tabuasei and Kalokalodromu are jointly charged with one count each of failure to comply with public order, failure to comply with order, aggravated burglary and theft.

Tabuasei is also charged with one count of resisting arrest.

The two were alleged to have stolen two Huawei mobile phones valued at $600, one Samsung A10 mobile phone valued at $350, one Samsung J1 mobile phone valued at $200, one Alcatel one touch mobile phone valued at $100, one Nokia mobile phone valued at $50 and one Logitech earpiece valued at $200, all to the total value of $1500.

They were arrested by Police and all the mobile phones were recovered.

The case has been adjourned to May 11 at the High Court in Suva.

Magistrate Wickramasekara told the accused to make formal bail applications at the High Court. Edited by Ivamere Nataro
