Two teachers charged over QVS student incident
They have been released on bail and are expected to appear in court on March 19, 2026.

Two teachers have been charged in relation to an incident involving a Year 13 student at Queen Victoria School.
Police confirmed the teachers, aged 45 and 26, were arrested, interviewed and charged with criminal recklessness and negligence under Section 268 of the Crimes Act 2009.
The student sustained severe injuries and was admitted to hospital following the incident.

The Fiji Sun understands the student was run over by a vehicle inside the school compound.
It is alleged the vehicle was driven by a teacher who was learning to drive, while another teacher was in the passenger seat providing instruction at the time.
The two accused have been released on bail and are expected to appear in court on March 19, 2026.
