Veisari murder accused to front High Court

Taione Senikaucava, who is charged with the murder of his de facto partner in Veisari Settlement, Lami, last December, is set to appear before the High Court in Suva next Friday.

Senikaucava, who faces one count of murder, appeared before Resident Magistrate Yogesh Prasad on Friday.

He is alleged to have killed his partner, Volonia Likutabua, inside his vehicle before driving the body to the Totogo Police Station to report the matter.

The court was told Senikaucava has filed his alibi notice.

He will remain in remand until his first call on February 13.
