Wailoku robbery juveniles to appear in High Court

Magistrate Diroiroi further remanded the juveniles, transferring the matter to the High Court where their bail would also be determined.

All the accused will remain at the Juvenile Boys Centre until then.

The three juveniles charged for aggravated robbery in Wailoku last weekend will make their first appearance at the High Court in Suva next Tuesday. 

This was determined on Friday when they appeared before Magistrate Viniana Diroiroi at the Suva Magistrate Court. 

In the last proceeding, Legal Aid Commission lawyer, Mesake Waqavanua was asked to make a formal bail application which had been complied with on the same day. 

Magistrate Diroiroi further remanded the juveniles, transferring the matter to the High Court where their bail would also be determined. 

The trio remains at the Fiji Juvenile Rehabilitation and Development Centre. 

Inspector Jone Tupua appeared for Police Prosecution while Legal Aid Commission lawyer, Francine Chand appeared for the juveniles.
