Barbara Malimali’s lawyer, Tanya Waqanika, has welcomed Government’s decision not to appeal the High Court ruling declaring the removal of Ms Malimali as FICAC Commissioner illegal.
“My client and I are happy that there will be no appeal,” she said.
“When I told my client about the Government statement, we were both emotional because it’s not easy to fight Government, we are fighting Goliath.”
