A woman charged in connection with a methamphetamine case linked to a Suva hotel has pleaded guilty in court.

Yin Qing Qing appeared before Magistrate Sufia Hamza today, where she admitted to a charge of possessing property suspected to be the proceeds of crime.

The charge relates to an incident last month at the Yue Lai Hotel, where police allegedly found 42.9 grams of methamphetamine.

Two people were charged in relation to the case, but only Yin appeared in court yesterday.

State Prosecutor Eoghn Samisoni told the court the State would seek both a fine and a term of imprisonment at sentencing.

The matter has been adjourned to January 20 for sentencing.
