Police arrest TikToker in Nadi hotel drug probe

Police have arrested a female TikToker after allegedly finding suspected illicit drugs during an operation at a hotel in Nadi on Saturday night.

A police source said the woman remains in custody while investigations continue. The alleged substance will be weighed and analysed today.

Police said the woman has not been charged and is expected to appear in court once investigations are completed.

Meanwhile, police are awaiting post-mortem results before deciding on charges following a fatal bus accident in Nadi last week.

The victim, Saiasi Rasolea Saidora, 58, died after being hit by a bus near the Namaka Public School traffic lights shortly after midday last Thursday.

Police spokesperson Corporal Wame Bautolu said it is alleged the victim suddenly stepped onto the road when he was struck by a passing bus.
