Six men charged over meth importation

Over 3kg of methamphetamine seized; one accused also faces breach of secrecy charges.

Six men were arrested and charged with two counts of Unlawful Importation of Illicit Drugs, under Section 5(b) of the Illicit Drugs Control Act 2004.

According to police, the charges relate to two separate consignments of methamphetamine, weighing over 3 kilograms, allegedly imported between March and July 2025.

One of the accused faces two additional counts of Breach of Secrecy, under Section 52(4) of the Fiji Inland Revenue and Customs Services Act 1998.

The charges were filed following consultations with the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.

All six accused are scheduled to appear in custody at the Nadi Magistrate Court today.

Police have confirmed that further investigations into the case are ongoing.
