Government has invested heavily in our infrastructure. The total allocation to the Fiji Roads Authority (FRA) in the 2018-2019 Budget was $563.1 million, comprising of $29.6 million for operating costs and $533.4 million for capital expenditures.
The four-lane road leading up to Nadi International Airport could easily be mistaken for any road in Australia or New Zealand.
Similarly, the four-lane road on Suva-Nausori corridor is shaping up very well. But, frequent accidents have been tearing apart very expensive aluminium railings in the middle of the road. Over the weekend, this was seen on the newly upgraded road on the Suva-Nausori corridor.
