Ms Huang has lived in Fiji since she was three years old and is the eldest of three siblings. Her parents operate a small business in Enamanu, Nadi.
She began her education at Namaka Public School before enrolling at Swami Vivekananda College, where she steadily built a reputation for academic excellence.
Speaking after receiving her results, Ms Huang said the achievement was the reward for years of perseverance.
“I feel grateful to God, my parents, my teachers and my friends for supporting me throughout this journey,” she said.
She admitted the road was not easy, especially managing pressure and anxiety during exam preparation.
“There were times when I felt overwhelmed, but I learned to push through and stay focused,” she said.
Late nights became routine as she balanced revision with schoolwork, often sacrificing family time and leisure to stay on track.
“I usually slept later so I could study more,” she said.
Ms Huang said she was inspired by a former head girl of the school to set high academic goals and believe in her potential.
Now preparing for Year 13, she hopes to pursue science and physics at the University of the South Pacific, with aspirations of a future career in engineering.
