Jack’s Retail funds full-fee scholarship at University of Fiji
Under the partnership, the Jack’s–University of Fiji Scholarship will cover full tuition fees for selected students enrolled at the university.

Jack’s Retail Pte Ltd has partnered with the University of Fiji to launch a full-tuition scholarship aimed at supporting students facing financial hardship.
The memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed yesterday at the university’s Saweni Campus. The agreement will run for four years.
Under the partnership, the Jack’s–University of Fiji Scholarship will cover full tuition fees for selected students enrolled at the university.

Director of Jack’s Retail Nikul Khatri said the company viewed education as an investment in Fiji’s future.

“The Jack’s–University of Fiji Scholarship is an investment in talent, discipline and potential. We want to support students who work hard, show promise and need the opportunity.”
The scholarship will be awarded once every two academic years from 2026 as part of the company’s corporate social responsibility programme focused on education and youth development.
It is open to full-time undergraduate students in selected programmes, including Commerce, Information Technology, Journalism and Media Studies, and related disciplines.

University of Fiji Vice-Chancellor Professor Shaista Shameem said the agreement reflected confidence in the institution’s academic programmes and highlighted the role of corporate support in expanding access to higher education.
She thanked Jack’s Retail for its support and said the partnership would benefit students for years to come.
