Police Commissioner Rusiate Tudravu said while school rivalry was common, it must not escalate into violence.
“School rivalry will be around at this time of the year due to sporting events,” he said.
“However, students must understand that violence is unacceptable and there are consequences for such actions.”
Mr Tudravu urged students to respect school rules and the law, both within school grounds and in public spaces.
The Community Policing initiative will focus on raising awareness about bullying, promoting respectful behaviour and preventing further incidents.
Police spokeswoman Ana Naisoro confirmed a report was lodged at Totogo Police Station by the school’s principal, with initial inquiries underway.
Authorities say the response aims to reinforce that schools must remain safe environments for learning.
