Sacrifice and persistence have paid off for Nadi businessman Rahul Roneet Singh, who has earned a master’s degree while balancing the demands of running his business.

The 33-year-old graduated with a Master of International Relations and Diplomacy from the University of Fiji’s Saweni Campus in Lautoka on Friday.

Mr Singh, a bachelor, is the director of Enterprise Rentals & Tours Fiji, operating three vehicles in Sonaisali, outside Nadi.

He also holds a degree in Business Marketing from Fiji National University, which he said equipped him with leadership, communication and business strategy skills.

The former Fiji Sun accounts staff member said completing his studies required major sacrifices.

“I had to sacrifice a lot of personal time, social events, sleep, and comfort. There were many late nights, stressful periods, and moments where I had to stay focused while balancing work, family responsibilities, and study,” he said.

“I also had to remain disciplined and continue pushing forward even when things became difficult.”

Mr Singh thanked his parents, sister, close friends, lecturers and mentors for their support.

“Their support, advice, and belief in me gave me the strength to continue during difficult times. I would also like to thank everyone who prayed for me and wanted to see me succeed.”

He said his parents were his role models.

“They taught me the value of hard work, resilience, and never giving up, no matter how difficult life becomes. They showed me that success is built through sacrifice and persistence.”

Looking ahead, Mr Singh hopes to grow as a businessman and leader.

“I want to continue building businesses, helping others and making a positive impact both in Fiji and internationally.”

He said education remained powerful.

“I want people to know that no matter where you come from or how difficult your journey may be, you should never give up on your dreams. With faith, hard work and determination, anything is possible.”

Mr Singh completed his primary education at Korovuto Primary School.

“During high school, I learned the importance of discipline, hard work, and perseverance. I was always determined to create a better future for myself and my family,” he said.
