Environment and Climate Change Minister Mosese Bulitavu has challenged regional delegates meeting in Nadi to match words with action, urging them to show courage and deliver tangible results for communities across Asia and the Pacific.
“Let us turn the deliberations into decisions, and decisions into delivery,” Mr Bulitavu told participants of the Sixth Session of the Forum of Ministers and Environment Authorities of Asia Pacific at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Nadi today.

He said courage was needed in the room to make the forum meaningful.
“That is the courage we need in this room: disciplined, practical, and shared. The courage to choose a few priorities we will deliver. The courage to write outcomes that Ministers can own. The courage to build a regional story that budgets can back, cabinets can adopt, and communities can recognise as their own,” he said.
Mr Bulitavu reminded delegates that their task was worthy and that expectations from the region’s people were clear.
“From the mangroves of Vanua Levu to the river deltas of Asia, our people are asking us to move with purpose and with care. Let us honour them,” he said.
