A group of 12 friends who make up a non-government organisation called Slayers, donated blood over the weekend at Labasa Hospital. The blood bank was running short on supply so when this group was asked to help, they did not hesitate.
The drive was carried out on Sunday at the Labasa Hospital blood bank department. Speaking to Fiji Sun, Slayers secretary Shalveen Lal said that it was the fourth time the group has donated blood to the hospital.
“We all have different blood groups and since I work in the hospital I received the call that the blood bank was running low and I inform my members,” Mr Lal said.
