17 Students Safe After Bus Veered Into Drain

A group of 17 students were unhurt after a bus they were travelling in veered off the road and fell into a drain in Nadi yesterday.

The bus was carrying students travelling from Lautoka to Nadi when the incident hap­pened at the Nadi back road.

This forced traffic to a halt and then to slow down during peak hours yesterday after­noon. The students suffered no injuries.

A joint investigation with the Land Trans­port Authority and the Fiji Police was under­way to ascertain the cause of the accident.
