$175K Transit Barrack Ready

This newly-renovated transit barrack plays a pivotal role as an essential lodging facility for WO/SNCO’s travelling from outside Suva for various courses, workshops and duties within Suva.

The RFMF’s Acting Director Force Development and Chief Staff Officer Capability Development, Major (Maj) Mikaele Wara, officially handed over the recently refurbished Warrant Officers (WO’s) and Sergeant (Sgt’s) Transit Barrack to Chief Staff Officer Land Force Operations (CSO LF Ops) Lieutenant Colonel (Lt-Col) Saula Koro, on behalf of the Chief of Staff Land Force.

Renovation

This newly-renovated transit barrack plays a pivotal role as an essential lodging facility for WO/SNCO’s travelling from outside Suva for various courses, workshops and duties within Suva.

It also provides accommodation for WO/SNCOs from the RFMF’s international defence partners.

The renovation includes upgraded facilities and improved living conditions for the WO/SNCO’s, providing a comfortable and functional space for their temporary stay.

The overall cost of the renovation project was estimated at $175,000, providing accommodations across 16 rooms.
