19 Juveniles Amongst 37 Arrested For COVID-19 Restriction Breaches

The Western and Central Divisions both recorded nil arrests which is commendable.

Of the thirty-seven (37) people arrested for alleged breach of COVID-19 restrictions, nineteen (19) were juveniles under the age of 18 years.

The Western and Central Divisions both recorded nil arrests which is commendable.

The Southern Division recorded thirty two (32) cases, twenty seven (27) were for social gathering breach and five (5) for breach of curfew.

Northern Division recorded three (3) cases of curfew breach.

East recorded one (1) case of curfew breach and one (1) for social gathering breach.

Majority of the social gathering breach reports involving juveniles were of those playing rugby and sitting around in numbers in public places.

Parents and guardians must step up on the monitoring of their children's activities at all times.
