22-Year-Old Man, Latest Drowning Victim

A 22-year-old man is believed to be the country’s latest drowning victim.

The man was swimming with some of his friends in the Naviago waters in Lautoka on Monday morning when the incident occurred.

His body was later found in the afternoon.

Police are pleading with members of the community to be vigilant at all times to avoid such incidence.

The drowning death toll currently stands at 35 compared to 41 for the same period last year .
