23-Year-Old Home Burnt Within Minutes

Jitendra Reddy, 51, could only sit and cry as he helplessly watched his home of 23 years up in flames on Monday.
Mr Reddy had just got to his home in Kuka Place, Narere at 9.30am from picking up his weekly taxi income when he noticed flames coming out from one of the bedrooms.
“I live with my son and daughter-in-law but luckily no one was at home when the fire happened,” he said.

The fire station was quick to respond but efforts to contain the fire was unsuccessful.
Investigations by the National Fire Authority continue.
