$2500 Winner: I thought I Was Being Fooled

Pita Lagi thought that he was being fooled on April Fool’s Day when he was told over the phone that he had won $2500.

A representative had told him that he was one of the five winners in the Nestle Cash Grab Promotion.

In fact, it turned out to be true. And yesterday, he and others collected their prizes at the Rups Mega Mall carpark, Nakasi.

“It was Monday when I got the call from the Nestle office on the exciting news and since it was Monday, I immediately thought it was an April Fool’s Day prank by them,” chuckles Mr Lagi.

Winning a cash price of $2500, Mr Lagi wishes to invest a portion of it towards his daughter’s education and on family for the upcoming Easter.

“I always enter into all the Nestle promotions without giving up and today I finally got it big, just in time for Easter and so I want to thank God and Nestle for this opportunity in making me $2500 richer,” says the Lami resident.

Nestle Fiji general manager Jason Jezewski proudly handed over the cheques to the five lucky winners in front of a crowd of surprised shoppers.

“The Nestle Cash Grab Promotion goes for two months and this are the first first lucky winners drawn,” he said.

“The competition is still going and gives an opportunity to customers to win with every purchase of any Nestle products over $5 in supermarkets around Fiji,” says Mr Jezewski.

The next five winners will be drawn in May giving customers’ ample time to buy Nestle products and be in to win.
